Witness to the Nations

Prepare to be Challenged: by Dr. George Murray, former chancellor of Columbia International University. Murray is an experienced missionary, teacher, preacher, writer and evangelist. For 15 years he was a member of CIU's board of trustees. He has traveled and ministered all across North America and in seventy-two countries. He and his wife, Annette, were church planters in Italy for 13 years. The Murrays have four married children and three grandsons.

Encourage the Faithful: “Mary and Phil” are currently on home assignment from Asia with a new addition to their family, Samuel. (He was born overseas “in the field.”) They have a plethora of stories and insights to share about their experiences with language learning, cultural adaptation, creative ways of building relationships with strangers and developing a ministry model based on the concept of “Business as Mission.” Come hear about their challenges, victories and dreams for their future work when they return to the field. “Mary and Phil” have three delightful children, Caleb, Emma and Samuel.

Pray for our Young People: Our teens, accompanied by Youth Leader Chris Anderson and other adults, are planning a bold initiative to unfamiliar lands to help with water purification and well digging projects to assist the needs of the Ugandan people. Will you commit to be a prayer partner to a young person?

Go as a Witness to the Nations: Join a short-term missions trip this summer to the land of Narnia and to our adopted people group. Will you go? Will you allow God to stretch you out of your comfort zone for His glory?

Schedule of Events:

March 14th –“Mary and Phil” will be sharing during the 9:00 and 10:45 am worship services in an interview format with Pastor Bernie.

March 15th-19th—Home Meetings with “Mary and Phil.” Dates and locations to be determined.

March 20th—GO Fest Banquet with Children’s Program. Banquet from 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Message from Dr. Murray in the worship center from 7:00-8:00 pm. Plan to bring the whole family. Child care for those needing nursery will be provided.

March 21st—Dr. George Murray will present the message on Witness to the Nations at both the 9:00 and 10:45 am worship services. Dr. Murray will also be presenting Lesson 9 of the Perspectives course being held at 6:30 pm in the FAC.
