Youth Mission Trip to Uganda:
Praises and Prayer Requests

As the team enters its final weeks of preparation for our trip to Uganda, we look back on our journey so far with fond memories and praises for many answered prayers. To name just a few: no one had any adverse effects from any of the immunizations we received; the Lord not only provided enough money for all trip expenses, but also enough for us to provide a water cistern for a village in Uganda as well; the team has bonded through the months and learned to appreciate one another’s strengths and recognize one another’s weaknesses.

We recently received news that our “team” has increased: there are 4 more team members from New York joining with The Ugandan Water Project. We look forward to meeting and ministering with these new team members and we would appreciate your prayers for them, also, as these two groups unite into one “body” to share the love of God with the Ugandan people. We also appreciate your continued prayers for us as we finalize our preparations and leave for Uganda on July 25, returning on August 7. Each team member would like to share a few personal prayers requests:

Chris Anderson:

  • We will blend well with the other team members who are coming from New York.
  • Good health leading up to and through the trip.
  • We are used by the Lord to have opportunity to share our faith in a real and impacting way.

Anita Robson:

  • The Lord would cover us with a mantle of boldness, authority, wisdom, and grace as we minister to the Ugandan people in a variety of ways.
  • Safety and good health throughout our travels.
  • Peace for the family members we leave at home, as our communication with them will be limited.

Thomas Gaughan:

  • Endurance, as we will be spending two weeks in an extreme climate.
  • Understanding for the people of Uganda and what they’re dealing with.
  • Safety from disease so we can be the most effective we can be.

Tim Kjellman:

  • Our team would make a lasting impact on the people of Uganda.
  • Safety in travel.
  • That we will be well prepared spiritually for this trip.

Emaleigh Robson:

  • Team dynamics: our team would blend well with the team from New York and our personalities won’t clash.
  • Physical energy while in Uganda; that we won’t get exhausted from such a busy schedule.
  • Our health: that none of us will get sick while traveling.

David Rice: (David is currently away, so his personal prayer requests are not available at this time.)

And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water
in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you,
he shall by no means lose his reward.
